Finished Edge Technology (FET), a leading manufacturer of patented stair tread solutions, today announced a new technology partnership with i4F®, a global provider of patents and technologies to the flooring industry. Through this partnership, Finished Edge’s stair tread technologies are now available worldwide via i4F’s licensing platform.

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Finished Edge develops and manufactures innovative stair tread solutions designed to create seamless floor-to-stair transitions. The company works with a wide range of decorative panel materials, including SPC, WPC, laminate, and engineered wood, helping manufacturers deliver consistent design and simplified installation.

As part of the agreement, i4F has secured exclusive rights to license Finished Edge’s patent portfolio covering advanced stair tread technologies. The partnership enables flooring manufacturers and retailers to respond to growing demand for cohesive, floor-to-stair solutions while unlocking new product and revenue opportunities.

Finished Edge stair tread technologies eliminate the need for stair modifications and support seamless visual continuity in both residential and commercial spaces. Each stair tread is manufactured from a single piece of material, providing durability, anti-slip performance, and precise alignment with matching flooring planks across multiple material types.

“Partnering with i4F allows us to significantly expand the reach of our stair tread technologies,” said Charles Iannacone III, CEO of Finished Edge Technology. “Their global licensing platform makes it easier for manufacturers to access solutions that solve long-standing challenges around stair alignment and visual consistency.”

This partnership strengthens Finished Edge’s position as an innovator in stair tread technology and supports the continued evolution of integrated floor-to-stair design solutions across the global flooring industry.
